Starting 1 Apr 2022, the borders between Malaysia and Singapore are fully open! However, before travelling to Malaysia or Singapore, there are still certain SOPs to take note of!
Starting 1 Apr 2022, you can travel quarantine-free to Malaysia on any flight as long as you are fully vaccinated. If you are unvaccinated or have not received the required doses to be considered fully vaccinated, you will have to quarantine for five days upon arrival if you are aged 18 and above. However, certain SOPs remain:
1. Fully vaccinated travellers heading to Malaysia will no longer need to undergo any tests starting 1 May 2022.
2. Starting April, travellers from Singapore will no longer be required to take any on-arrival COVID tests.
3. You must also download and register your profile on the MySejahtera mobile app. Starting 1 Apr 2022, before travelling to Malaysia, you must complete and submit a traveller form via the Traveller icon on the app.

During your stay in Malaysia, you will have to adhere to the prevailing public health measures at all times. However, take note that starting 1 May 2022, mask wearing will become optional in outdoor spaces. Checking-in using the MySejahtera app will also no longer be required.
However, for travellers, you should still keep the app as you will need to fill up the Traveller Form on the app to travel.

Starting 1 Apr 2022, Singapore will transition from VTLs to a more generalised Vaccinated Travel Framework. As long as you have not spent time in a country listed as “Restricted” seven days prior to arrival, you can enter Singapore quarantine-free. At the moment, there are no such countries on that list.
Under the new travel arrangements, all fully vaccinated travellers can enter Singapore without quarantine and without needing designated VTL flights. If you are unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated, you will be served a seven-day Stay Home Notice (SHN).
Starting 26 Apr 2022, those travelling to Singapore from Malaysia will no longer need to undergo pre-departure testing (PDT) or on-arrival testing regardless of whether they’re arriving by land, sea, or air. However, take note that when travelling to Malaysia, you will still need a pre-departure test (info accurate as of 25 Apr 2022).
However, travellers must make sure to complete and submit their SG Arrival Card three days before departure, and download the TraceTogether app.
During your stay in Singapore, you will have to adhere to the prevailing public health measures at all times.
However, one point to note is that starting 1 Apr 2022, face masks in public outdoor settings are now optional. That said, it might be a good idea, for the sake of convenience, to always have one on you when you head out. That’s because you will still need to wear them in indoor spaces.
In addition, you will have to keep your TraceTogether app updated on a regular basis for contact tracing purposes. Visitors who use the TraceTogether token must carry their own tokens with them wherever they go.

Before departing for Malaysia, visitors must return their own TraceTogether tokens in-person at the designated TraceTogether token return booths/counters.
